12 Weeks Design Challenge at Premium Aerotec
Development of new solutions for improving the subcontracting process and to form strategic partnerships with suppliers. Gaining insights and recommendations for the organizational implementation of Design Thinking within Premium Aerotec Engineering were also part of the task.
Two teams of six people used the Design Thinking methodology to improve the relationship and workflow with suppliers from the engineering department.
Analyze the existing subcontracting process and develop new ideas with the help of Design Thinking methods to improve the collaboration among suppliers.
Educate and train members of Premium Aerotec Engineering in the Design Thinking methodology.
A three month program with onsite and offsite coaching was developed. Two multidisciplinary teams were formed including external members from the suppliers. An empty office redesigned to facilitate creative thinking and serve as a teamspace.
The Design Thinking process allowed each team to develop and a validated MVP ready for pilot phase. Various fields of opportunities have been identified for further improvement projects.
